A Message From the Rector

Welcome to Saint Anne's Anglican Catholic parish website!

Although parishes of the Anglican Catholic Church are located throughout the United States and the world, we are the first and only parish of the Anglican Catholic Church in Southern Maryland. Like the early Christian communities, we began as a small mission whose corporate worship centers around the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. We are a prayer-centered parish and it is our desire to grow deeper in prayer and stronger in our witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our goal is to share the love of God with those around us and to give glory to our Lord Jesus Christ through every aspect of our parish life. We pray continually to be guided by the Holy Spirit and to be sustained in all things by receiving the Presious Body and Blood of Christ in our Holy Communions.

Our parish has been blessed with a wide range of talents. Members of our congregation are encouraged to become active in the life, work and mission of the parish according to their own talents, needs and capacity.

St. Matthew 5:14 says: "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid." It is our desire to share the faith "once delivered to the saints" with those in our community. Our aspiration is to become more like that community on a hilltop described by Jesus in verse 14.

Should you have any questions, feel free to call the parish office (301-934-6873) or better yet, why not join us at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings as our parish family gathers around the altar of God for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.
